Palmcroft people have found amazing places to serve and share the love of Jesus throughout the valley. The children and parents of VBS found a way to show kindness to the many refugee students that attend schools in the Washington Elementary School District by providing the funds to purchase 756 backpacks filled with school supplies.
So where to our people serve? Here is a list of those organizations that we are already aware of. Many of them were founded to address the physical and spiritual needs of our community. The desire of Along Side Ministries is to help our incarcerated brothers and sisters discover godly purpose in their lives.
Choices Pregnancy Centers are licensed medical facilities that have been serving women and families in the greater Phoenix metro area since 1983. We are staffed by medical professionals who believe you should have accurate, reliable information about your pregnancy and sexual health.
Kitchen on the Street is a faith based community partner purposing to eliminate local hunger by offering food assistance programs in Phoenix Arizona and San Antonio Texas.
Founded in 1987, Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian non-profit that provides nutritionally complete meals specifically formulated for malnourished children. Our process is simple. Donations given by people fund the meal ingredients. Volunteers hand-pack the meals. Meals are donated to FMSC food partners around the world, where kids are fed and lives are saved! There is a packing site in Mesa.
House of Refuge Sunnyslope (HRS) has been serving the homeless in the greater Phoenix area since 1988. We provide transitional housing and life changing resources for men, women, and single moms with their children. Our main focus is to provide a safe and sober transitional living environment while individuals are restored through God’s presence in their life, full-time work and fellowship with others.
A New Leaf asks vulnerable women and children fleeing domestic violence, human trafficking, and other crisis situations to put their faith in Faith House, faith in themselves, and faith in the community. Stepping in and stepping up to protect families and women who are at their most vulnerable, Faith House provides comprehensive services to provide safety and stability, while mending the trauma of an abusive relationship. As the longest serving domestic violence shelter in Arizona, Faith House has been a beacon of hope for over 200 women and children every year.
The Salvation Army exists to meet human need wherever, whenever, and however we can. There are centers throughout the valley.
The Phoenix Rescue Mission provides Christ-centered, life-transforming solutions to persons facing hunger and homelessness.
Each week through our various Outreach Programs, we conduct 120 street, nursing home, and human trafficking outreaches. At each outreach food, clothing, access to social services, and a message of God's Hope and Love is shared. Our various Housing Programs provide housing and programmatic care to over 450 people each night, including a Life Recovery Program, a Program for Young Women out of Sex Trafficking, an Emergency Family Housing Program, an Affordable Housing Program, a Foster Care Prevention Program and a Foster Care Age-Out Program.
Acacia Elementary School is an Arizona A+++ School of Excellence and a National Title I Distinguished School. Committed to achieving excellence for every child, every day, Acacia Elementary School's curriculum is fully aligned with State Standards. Acacia Elementary provides an effective kindergarten through sixth grade education. In addition, a preschool program and before- and after-school day care services are available at Acacia.
The Gideons are a body of believers dedicated to making the Word of God available to everyone and, together with the local church, reaching souls for Christ. They are an advocate for the lost, to bring them the saving knowledge of the Word through not only placing and distributing Scriptures, but also through personal witnessing and by associating together for service.
