Women's Bible Studies

Please come to the Palmcroft Women Open House on Wednesday, September 9 to see all of the Bible Study options we are offering this Fall.  Classes are offered on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and will begin the following week. For the first time ever, you're also able to buy the course materials online during registration and pick them up before class starts.

MONDAYS – 6:30 TO 8:30 PM

Becoming A Woman of Freedom, Facilitated by Marilyn Kolo in Forum 201

No matter what your age, circumstance, or spiritual maturity, this study will help you identify and lay aside the burdens that can make you feel "stuck," including past hurt and loss, poor self-image, approval-seeking, busyness, doubt and fear and unhealthy influences.

TUESDAYS – 6:00 AM TO 7:30 AM

Children of the Day, Facilitated by Lisa Davis in Ryan Hall

The Holy Spirit shines bright through you. Grocery shopping, strolling through a park, grabbing coffee—you are never without His light. The New Testament believers carried the Spirit of God as they walked along the shores of Thessalonica, just as you carry that light today.

TUESDAYS – 9:00 TO 11:00 AM

Breath, The Life of God in Us, Facilitated by Pam McPeek in Forum 301

There’s a very big difference between being created by God and being invaded by God. Breath, The Life of God in Us is a study by Beth Moore reflecting on the person, the work and the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Magnificent Obsession, Facilitated by Pat Kinsey in Forum 302

Anne Graham Lotz has known the struggle to find meaning and passion in her faith; the feeling life is somehow incomplete and hollow at the core; and a nagging sense that there must be something more. She found her answer in the amazing story of Abraham, a very ordinary man who became extraordinary for one pivotal reason: he pursued God in a life of obedient faith.

The King is Coming, Facilitated by Margo Valcanoff in Forum 101

The end is near. These words can be a wake-up call or a comfort - insane rambling or sensible presentation of truth. What is yet to come for the world is beyond the scope of our wildest projections but we have not been left completely in the dark. This study examines scriptural prophecies and provides answers for those questioning what comes next, as well as instruction to live accordingly in the here and now.

Soul Keeping, Facilitated by Maggi Garrison and Marian Sorci in Forum 202

The soul is the coolest, most mysterious, evocative, crucial, sacred, eternal and fragile dimension of your existence. Jesus said it’s worth more than the world. Two things are for sure: one is you have a soul and the other is: if you don’t look after this one you won’t be issued a replacement.

Coffee Talk for Moms, Facilitated by Palmcroft Kids Ministry Team in the Brickhouse

It is our desire to support you wherever you are on the path of motherhood through friendship, relevant information, God’s Word and a good dose of fun!  Come join us in the Brickhouse Coffee Shop for coffee and a time of encouraging one another as moms raising our kids to love Jesus.

WEDNESDAYS – 6:30 TO 8:00 PM

Believing God, Facilitated by Sara Hamlin in Forum 101

This in-depth Bible study is based on Isaiah 43:10 that explores what it means not only "to believe in God" but "to believe Him." Through studying the lives of Abraham, Moses, and others as examples of persons who believed God, Beth Moore encourages women to deepen their own trust in God and receive a fresh word from Him.

Hosea: Unfailing Love Changes Everything, Facilitated by Mary Lynn Welch and Karen McMahon in Forum 301

The book of Hosea is a deeply personal and passionate, yet difficult  love story. As an account full of harsh judgment unfolds, we find in its midst a rare and pure gem: the truest and purest of loves. Be amazed by the love of Hosea for his wayward spouse, and more amazed by the unfailing love of God for His wayward people, and for all people. Hosea showers us with hope, hints and portents pointing to the coming of the promised Messiah.

Acts Part 1, Facilitated by Nancy Jo Miller and Nora Fechner in  Forum 201

In the book of Acts, Luke recorded what happened after Jesus’ ascension to the Father. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit, empowering the apostles to testify to the power of God in salvation and in living every day for the gospel. Stand in awe of the power of God in believers to endure persecution and suffering for the cause of Christ and embrace His power in your life. Be encouraged by the results of faithful servants holding forth truth in a dark world; watch as the church grows numerically, geographically, and culturally.
