What are my giving dollars used for?
Your gifts are used to fund God’s work through the ministry of Palmcroft Church. Our ministry includes our weekend services, ministry to adults, students, and kids, and support of local and global outreach.
Does Palmcroft Church have a budget?
Yes. Our budget each year is based on the goals and objectives of each ministry area within the church.
Does Palmcroft Church have high accounting standards?
Our finance department is held accountable by internal controls. We also have an external audit annually by an independent CPA firm based on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
What payment method options can I choose from?
Donations can be made online using your checking/savings account (ACH) or using a debit/credit card. Please note that we pay a percentage-based convenience fee for donations made online by debit/credit card, so larger gifts are more effective as a bank account payment (ACH). You may also give during our weekend services with cash or check.
How often will payments be pulled from my account?
Online giving can be configured to transfer funds from your account at a frequency that's right for you. You can specify whether you want to give a one-time donation or regular contributions (weekly, monthly, twice-monthly).
How can I get a giving statement?
You can request an email or printed giving statement from our finance office at any time. This statement will cover both your online giving as well as any other offerings you give. To request a statement, please contact our finance office at firstname.lastname@example.org or (602) 863-0945.
My Spouse and I received separate statements, but we file jointly. why did we receive separate statements?
The simplest explanation is because that is how the IRS treats income. It's not the household that earns a wage, it's the individual. At tax time, couples filing jointly add their incomes together and file their joint return. Similarly, if two donors file their taxes together they'll combine their charitable donations into one number.
I wrote a check but it showed up on my spouse's statement. Why did this happen? HOW ARE DONATIONS ATTRIBUTED?
- Check Donations: For 2016 the donation was assigned to the first name on the check. For 2017, however, the donation will be assigned to the signer of the check.
- Cash Donations: The donation is assigned to the first name listed on the giving envelope.
- Online Donations: The donation is automatically assigned to the person logging in with their email.
